Bottle fed baby with gas problems??

My son is almost a month old and is bottle fed. The bottles I bought didn't have holes in the tops of the so, I cut holes with a knife. Lately, he has been very gy and it seems like his belly is hurting. I bought all brand new that are for gy babies that reduce air from being ingested. Now, it seems like he sucks and sucks and get get anything out. I can squirt it on my hand and it comes out fine. What is going on?? What else can I try to help with his gas and what should I do about the nipple and bottle situation?? I am to the point now where I want to just throw all bottles and nipple away and go buy all new GOOD ones and start over. (The bottle I have are not really expensive name brand bottles). PLEASE HELP!!! Thanks in advance!
