Will i p police blood test for drink driving?
i was stopped by police on friday,i blew 67 on the roadside breath test, which i was totally shocked by,i had drank 1 can of lager and then 1 pint almost an hour after the can but around 30 mins before being pulled over.At the nick i was asked if im ill or taken medication which sent alarm bells ringing,i currently have oral thrush as a result of taking tami-flu for swine flu.Im takin "daktarin" gel for the thrush which i had im my pocket,i took it out and in clear writing on the back it says contains ETHONOL, i refused a breath test on medical reasons as i didn't want to give evidence untill i had medical advise, ploice rang someone who said i shouldn't give breath but should give blood,i agreed, took blood test around 45mins later, police said they would release me as they didn't think i was drunk so i asked if they would breat test me,i blew 43 and 41 which is borderline as limit is 35,obviously over the limit but they said caution territory, any ideas if this means my blood test maybe ok?? or if the fact id been ill and had been rubbing medication containing alcohol on my tounge all-day would increase my alcohol levels considerably??? the police were really sound after all this but over the limit is over the limit,im bailed untill january for results of blood test.Must state that i had been using "daktarin" from 7.30 am and was stopped at 2.30 am the following morning, hadn't eaten much, can handle my beer and was genuinely shock i failed but breath had gone down more than 25 in just over an hour.Policeman said he only stopped me as my backlight was out.
