Differences in English (American), Spanish, and most of all French lyrics?

I have just finished listening to Celine Dion's "Et s'il n'en restait qu'une" and seen the lyrics. I know some french and see that this song doesn't seem to have a chorus similar to modern English music. Do French lyrics vary in this way? Also what are some things that are "trademark" to Spanish lyrics?
